How to Launch a Token on StonkFun: Creator Guide (2026)

By WebDeskOctober 9, 20267 Mins Read

To launch a token on StonkFun, connect a Solana wallet at stonkfun.xyz and pick a quote token. Then add a name, symbol, and image, choose a 1% or 2% pool fee, and sign. Your token goes live on a bonding curve within seconds, and the launch costs a fraction of a SOL.

That is the whole process. However, two of those choices are permanent, and they decide how your coin trades and what you earn. I look at StonkFun launches from the buyer’s side most days, so this guide covers both angles.

New to the platform? Start with our what is StonkFun explainer. Building on Robinhood Chain instead? We wrote the same walkthrough for launching a token on Pons.

What Makes a StonkFun Launch Different

Most launchpads price every new coin in SOL. StonkFun lets you decide what your coin trades against. That quote token can be a tokenized stock, a pre-IPO token, a commodity, a currency, or another coin.

As a result, your chart has two moving parts. Buyers pay in the quote token, and your creator fees arrive in it too. A coin paired with tokenized Nvidia literally trades in Nvidia units.

Every launch gets the same base settings. Supply is fixed at 1 billion tokens, and the starting market cap is $5,000. There is no presale and no creator allocation, so you start with zero bags like everyone else.

What You Need Before You Start

Preparation takes five minutes. Have these ready:

  • A Solana wallet, such as Phantom or Solflare
  • SOL for the launch cost and network fees
  • A token name of up to 32 characters
  • A symbol of up to 10 characters
  • A square image in PNG, JPEG, or WebP format, up to 2 MB
  • Optional links: website, X, and Telegram

Recent launches cost about 0.03 SOL. The form shows the exact amount before you sign.

One warning matters more than the rest. StonkFun stores your image and metadata permanently on Arweave. Therefore, a typo in your ticker stays forever. Check the spelling twice.

Step by Step: Launching Your Token

  1. Open stonkfun.xyz and check the domain carefully. Popular launchpads attract phishing clones.
  2. Connect your wallet and click “Launch a token.”
  3. Choose your pool fee: 1% or 2%.
  4. Enter the token name and symbol, then upload your image.
  5. Add your project links. Leave the website blank and StonkFun links to your token page instead.
  6. Pick your quote token from the list.
  7. Review the launch summary. It shows the starting market cap, supply, trading fee, your creator share, and the launch cost.
  8. Sign the transaction in your wallet.

Your token now trades on its bonding curve. You add no liquidity yourself, and nothing needs a second step.

Choosing Your Quote Token

This is the first permanent choice, and the most important one. The form groups quote tokens into categories: xStocks, PreStocks, Tessera, Sunrise, Currencies, Leverage, Collectibles, Solana, and Custom.

First, match the pair to your story. ZCAT paired itself with Zcash right as ZEC went on a run, and the pairing became the whole narrative. A random pairing gives buyers nothing to talk about.

Second, think about friction. Buyers need your quote token to trade on-chain. An obscure pair therefore shrinks your audience. Apps like FOMO hide that step from buyers, which we tested in our FOMO app review.

Finally, remember the double exposure. Your coin can fall while its paired stock rises. In addition, some tokenized stocks carry regional restrictions from their issuers.

Pool Fees and What Creators Earn

The pool fee is the second permanent choice. At 1%, the fee splits 50/50. Roughly 0.5% of every trade goes to you, and the platform keeps about 0.5%. This is the default and the cheapest setting for traders.

The 2% option raises the fee on every trade. Consequently, it costs your buyers more, and the launch summary shows your exact share before you sign. Higher fees can also scare off volume, so more per trade does not always mean more in total.

Creator fees arrive in your quote token. StonkFun sends them to your wallet automatically, with no claim button to remember. Meanwhile, the platform’s share funds the STONK buyback we measured in STONK vs PONS.

What about holder rewards, the mechanic that made ZCAT famous? Those coins use a transfer tax that pays holders in the quote token. Earlier versions of the form offered that as a separate option. At the time of writing, the public form shows only the pool fee choice. We also covered the regulatory questions in are tokenized stock airdrops legal.

From Bonding Curve to Raydium

Since early September, StonkFun launches run through Raydium’s LaunchLab. Your token first trades against a bonding curve. Price climbs as people buy and drops as they sell.

Each curve has a graduation target. StonkFun sets it in dollars and converts it into your quote token at launch. Once buyers fill it, the token graduates automatically.

At that point, the remaining supply and the raised funds move into a Raydium pool. That liquidity stays locked permanently through Burn & Earn. In other words, nobody can pull it, including you. Trading simply continues in the pool, and your fees keep flowing.

The Odds and the Fine Print

Launching is easy. Surviving is not. Most tokens never graduate, and most of the platform’s revenue comes from coins less than a day old. Attention on a new launch often lasts hours, not weeks.

Permanence cuts both ways too. Locked liquidity protects your buyers, but you cannot change the quote token, the fee, or the metadata later.

Also, keep the platform risk in mind. The StonkFun team is pseudonymous and can change its fee policies. The form itself says it plainly: creator fees depend on trading that may never happen.

So bring a story before you bring a ticker. Our meme coin beginner’s guide breaks down what buyers look for, which is exactly what you should design around.

Keep This Content Free

Launching costs a few cents. Trading fees on your other positions cost far more. Cut those and support our guides by signing up through our links on OKX or Bybit. It costs you nothing extra.

Final Words

StonkFun turned token creation into a two-minute form. The platform handles the supply, the curve, the liquidity lock, and the fee payouts. Your job is the part no launchpad can automate: a pairing that makes sense and a community that cares.

Pick the quote token for the story, keep the fee low unless you have a reason, and triple-check the metadata. Would you rather own the launchpad’s token than compete on it? Then read our guide on how to buy STONK.
