This weekend, I got offered tickets to watch Mexico vs. England in Mexico City.
I know that would be an incredible experience.
At the same time, we have a family party on Saturday that I really don’t want to miss. Since I’m only a two-hour flight away from Mexico City, I’ll make the final decision tomorrow.
The World Cup has honestly been a blessing during this bear market.
I haven’t spent this much time away from the charts in years, and I’ve been lucky enough to watch some amazing matches along the way. And of course, with all the betting I’m farming a decent airdrop, hopefully.
Now, let’s jump into the latest Trump Crypto headlines and everything else happening across the crypto market. As always, crypto never sleeps.
One of the biggest Trump Crypto stories this week revolves around President Donald Trump’s financial disclosures.
According to newly released filings, Trump reported earning at least $1.4 billion from crypto-related ventures during 2025. The income reportedly came from multiple projects, including his memecoin, World Liberty Financial, and a stablecoin venture involving his family.
When asked about the earnings during a CNBC interview, Trump said there was “nothing wrong” with the money and stated that he wants the United States to remain the global leader in crypto innovation.

I wouldn’t be surprised if over 95% of the community stops using the platform after this.
For us, this is the final time we’ll mention Grass.

Zcash’s Ironwood Upgrade Could Be Delayed
The upcoming Ironwood upgrade for Zcash may not arrive on schedule.
Developers are considering a delay because many exchanges, mining pools, wallets, and infrastructure providers may not be ready for the required software migration.
The upgrade itself addresses an important issue discovered inside Zcash’s Orchard privacy pool. Researchers found a theoretical vulnerability that could have allowed unlimited counterfeit ZEC to be created, although developers say there is no evidence anyone actually exploited it.
Ironwood introduces a brand-new shielded pool while also requiring many ecosystem participants to replace older software with an entirely new technology stack.
That’s a significant amount of work.
Because several providers still need additional testing time, developers are discussing whether postponing the rollout would result in a safer network upgrade.
At this stage, no final decision has been made.
Irish Police Recover Another 500 Bitcoin From Convicted Cannabis Grower
Authorities in Ireland have successfully gained access to another crypto wallet belonging to convicted cannabis grower Clifton Collins.
The wallet contained 500 Bitcoin, worth roughly €27 million at current prices.
This marks the third wallet recovered by Irish authorities in 2026, bringing the total seized to 1,500 BTC, now valued at more than €80 million.
Collins was convicted in 2017 after operating multiple large-scale cannabis farms across Ireland.
Years before his arrest, he purchased thousands of Bitcoin when they were worth only a fraction of today’s value.
One of the most remarkable parts of the story is how he stored his crypto.
Instead of using modern hardware wallets or backups, Collins printed his wallet recovery phrases on paper and hid them inside a fishing rod case.
After his arrest, the rental property was cleared out, and the case was accidentally thrown into a landfill.
For years, it appeared that the Bitcoin was permanently lost.
However, Irish authorities, working alongside Europol, have now managed to unlock three of his wallets through technical forensic methods.
They haven’t disclosed how access was obtained.
Even more remarkably, investigators believe roughly 4,500 Bitcoin remain locked in Collins’ remaining wallets.
If authorities eventually recover those funds as well, it would become one of the largest crypto seizures in Irish history.
