Ripple XRP ended this past week in a slump, dropping 11% to a near 3-month low. Presently trading just above $2.5, XRP failed to remain above the lower $3 mark to confirm a rally. As a result, selling pressure around the asset has grown as investors worry that further decline is coming. Previously forecasted to end 2025 at nearly $4, will XRP survive above $3 at the end of this year?
Despite the recent dip, there are still various reasons why XRP could end the year on a high note. For starters, There is a very high chance that the SEC will approve at least one XRP ETF this year. SEC chair Paul Atkins has said that he is determined to propel the crypto industry in the US. President Trump has also said that he wants to make the US a global crypto hub. XRP, being a US-based crypto project, could benefit from the current administration’s pro-US outlook. There are several pending applications from banking institutions in the US, and upon the approval of one, the rest would likely soon follow like a train of falling dominoes. The influx of XRP ETF products becoming available would send the altcoin skyrocketing in value, beating out $3 and perhaps establishing a new ATH.
Furthermore, leading cryptocurrency analyst MikyBull shared a chart on TradingView signalling that Ripple XRP is flashing bullish patterns in the charts. He predicted that Ripple’s native token could experience a breakout soon, reaching new highs. According to the analyst, accumulating the token now at $2.80 could bring tremendous profits to investors. With the coin trading below that, now may be an even more valuable opportunity to buy XRP low ahead of gains.

Looking in the distant future, according to CoinCodex XRP stats, XRP may hit a new high of $9 by 2030, which can be an indication of its stable safe-haven tool identity.
