The season begins shortly after Bitcoin has risen to a significant high point, through which investors can extract significant profits. Once this happens, these profits are then invested in other potential coins, marking a rise in the price of notable crypto coins other than Bitcoin. This is precisely what helps altcoins rise high on the radar, predicting the onset of the altcoin season.

With Bitcoin’s recent peak at $122K, the investors are now keenly awaiting a major altcoin push. In this wake, Javon Marks, a leading cryptocurrency analyst, has come up with a new prediction, claiming how the brewing altcoin season could be one of the most “monstrous ones” out of all.
Marks later emphasized the fact that altcoins have been “coiling” for almost 6 years. The fact that these altcoins have been undergoing constant retests and breakouts has finally prepared them for the ultimate season finale.

When Will The Season Begin?
BTC’s bullish market spike has led the altcoin index to flash its most positive signal. The altcoin season signal is showing a major spike, stable at 35, which is its highest value in the last few years.

Per the former BitMEX CEO Arthur Hayes, the altcoin season may begin shortly once Bitcoin surges beyond $110K.
“I think Bitcoin needs to go above $110K, and increasing volumes reach $150K-200K. I think that happens sometimes in the summer or early third quarter, and then the rotation starts into various altcoins.”
Hayes later shared that a new altcoin season narrative may dominate this time, with fewer coins spiking to hit new price peaks.
“I don’t think it’ll be like that in 2021, that every single coin just goes up 100x. We’ll have a new narrative that people are going to try to trade. And it’ll trade at some crazy price. But the old dino coins in your portfolio that aren’t moving probably aren’t moving for a reason. I think a lot of those coins have high FDV. Low float, no customers, no revenue, just some CEX listings that went down 95%. I don’t really see why those should do well in the next cycle.”
