ed market makers, that is a dealbreaker. Those apps need thousands of cheap state changes per second. Kinetiq points out that proprietary AMMs on Solana handle spot volume far above HyperCore’s spot market. Elysium is the attempt to bring that kind of activity home to Hyperliquid instead of watching it leave.
The pitch is simple: Elysium absorbs the high-frequency load, and the value flows back to HYPE and HyperCore.
How Elysium Works
Three pieces matter for a normal user.
HYPE as gas. You bridge HYPE from HyperEVM into Elysium 1:1. The same HYPE pays your fees there, and it withdraws 1:1 back to HyperEVM after the challenge period. Nothing new to buy.
HyperCore connectivity. This is the real differentiator. Elysium is co-located with the Hyperliquid chain and will expose HyperCore’s order book depth to apps through a custom precompile. That acts as a free native oracle for market makers. Apps will eventually be able to read and write to HyperCore directly. Those hooks, called EL1Read and EL1Write, arrive in an upgrade roughly four weeks after mainnet, not on day one.
A launch pipeline. Kinetiq describes a path where a token launches on a long-tail AMM on Elysium, grows into the chain’s PropAMMs, then graduates to a HyperCore spot order book and finally a HIP-3 perp listing. We have written about that last step before, when Hyperliquid backed Kraken’s HIP-3 markets. Elysium wants to be the on-ramp into that whole stack.
At launch, the chain runs with training wheels. A single sequencer orders transactions, a data availability committee posts certificates to HyperEVM, and a whitelisted validator set handles state checks. Permissionless fraud proofs via Arbitrum’s BoLD are promised later.
Who Is Building on Elysium
The day-one lineup is stronger than most new chains manage.
fomo is named as Elysium’s exclusive trading partner and supports the chain from launch. Pump.fun will offer Elysium trading through its app on November 9 too, which fits the direction we saw when Pump.fun launched perps on Hyperliquid. Uniswap V2 routers and V4 deployments are queued, 0x-connected apps can swap from day one, and KyberSwap says it is ready.
Beyond trading, Derive V3 brings on-chain options. Enso’s routing contracts are already on testnet. Markets.xyz, Kinetiq’s own venue for equity, index and commodity perps, will trade Elysium tokens. Launchpads Citadel, BunnyPad and Montra round out the list, each launching tokens straight into HYPE-quoted Uniswap pools.
One caveat: the Uniswap integration is described as contract deployments, not official Uniswap Labs support. Keep that distinction in mind.
What Elysium Means for HYPE and KNTQ
Most Layer 2s pull activity away from their base chain. Elysium is designed to do the opposite, and the fee model is where that shows.
Sequencer revenue splits three ways. Half buys KNTQ on the open market and sends it to the Hyperliquid Assistance Fund, where it is permanently removed from circulation. A quarter goes to builders whose apps consume Elysium blockspace. The last quarter funds Kinetiq’s treasury.
For HYPE, the effect is new demand. Every swap, launch and trade on Elysium burns gas in HYPE, and launchpad pools are quoted in HYPE. That is on top of the catalysts already stacking up, like the ICE deal that sent HYPE to $88.
For KNTQ, the stakes are higher. Bankless notes Kinetiq’s TVL sits more than 60% below its October 2025 peak. Elysium gives the token a revenue line that does not depend on liquid staking alone. Whether the burn matters depends entirely on real transaction volume, so watch the numbers after launch rather than the launch itself.
My Take as a Hyperliquid Farmer
I was one of the roughly 94,000 wallets in the HYPE genesis airdrop, and I have kept a foot in the ecosystem ever since. Delta neutral farming on Hyperliquid is my bread and butter. It is slow, and it is not flashy, but every so often it pays big.
Kinetiq was part of that grind. I staked HYPE there for kPoints back when we listed it. Whether that wallet ever collected its KNTQ allocation is something I need to check. The initial airdrop required accepting the terms before a November 21 cutoff last year, and I honestly do not remember doing it. If you farmed Kinetiq too, run your address through our airdrop eligibility checker before you forget as well.
Elysium changes my plan in one way. Until now, HyperEVM farming meant lending, liquidity and liquid staking, the stuff in our stablecoin farming guide for HyperEVM. Elysium adds a spot and memecoin layer with HYPE as the quote asset. Since I already trade on fomo daily, their day-one support means I can test Elysium tokens without touching a bridge at all. My fomo app review explains why that app is where I do most of my meme trading.
There is no Elysium token and no points program. Still, every app on the chain is a potential airdrop of its own, the same logic as the rest of the HyperEVM airdrops we track. Early users on new chains have been rewarded before. I am sizing small and showing up.
Three Ways to Get Onto Elysium
Here is how I see the options. Tomorrow’s bridge guide walks through each with screenshots.
1. The safe route: wait for November 9. Get HYPE onto HyperEVM now. Withdraw it from an exchange directly to HyperEVM, or move it from HyperCore. On launch day, bridge through the official link posted by Elysium’s own account. Nothing else.
2. The easy route: trade on fomo. If fomo lists Elysium tokens from day one as announced, you can buy and sell them inside the app with no bridging and no custom network. This is the route for anyone who just wants exposure to the new launches.
3. The early route: community bridges. Some traders are already on the private mainnet through unofficial bridges and community RPC endpoints, and early tokens are already trading there. That is the riskiest path by a wide margin. More on that next.
Whichever route you pick, keep your Hyperliquid activity going. Our Hyperliquid Season 3 listing tracks the possibility of another HYPE round, and the full Hyperliquid airdrop strategy still applies.
Risks Before Launch Day
Elysium is not live yet, and that gap is where people lose money.
Fake bridges appear at every chain launch. Expect lookalike Elysium sites, phishing RPCs and “official” claim links in your replies. MetaMask has already flagged at least one community bridge as possible phishing. Until Elysium posts the mainnet network details and bridge link itself, treat everything as unofficial.
If you insist on bridging early, use a fresh wallet with only what you can afford to lose. Verify the chain ID and RPC against Elysium’s channels, not a Telegram post. Our safety guide for airdrop hunters covers address poisoning and the HyperEVM transfer mistakes that catch people out.
Then there is the structural risk. Elysium launches with a single sequencer and a whitelisted validator set. Withdrawals wait for a challenge period. Also, the HyperCore hooks that make the chain special arrive weeks after mainnet, so day one is a fast EVM chain and little more. We looked at what a hack would do to the big perp venues in which DEX is safe, and a brand-new L2 deserves even more caution than those.
Finally, capital discipline. New chains tempt you to spray HYPE across every launch. My point farming strategy explains why I size positions for the snapshot, not the hype.
Keep This Content Free
Writing up every new Hyperliquid chain before it launches takes time, and this site runs on referrals, not paywalls. If you need a centralized exchange to buy HYPE before bridging, sign up through our OKX link or our Bybit link. You collect the welcome bonus, and we keep the guides free.
Final Words
Elysium is the first Layer 2 for Hyperliquid, built by Kinetiq, paid for in HYPE, and designed to send value back to the base chain instead of draining it. The day-one partner list is real, the fee model is unusual, and the HyperCore integration could make it a serious spot trading venue once the hooks land.
Until November 9, patience is the trade. Get HYPE onto HyperEVM, decide which of the three routes fits you, and wait for the official bridge. Our how-to-bridge guide goes live tomorrow.
FAQ
What is Elysium in crypto?
Elysium is a Layer 2 blockchain built by Kinetiq for the Hyperliquid ecosystem. It settles to HyperEVM, uses HYPE as its gas token, and targets 100 millisecond blocks for spot trading, token launches and DeFi apps.
When does Elysium mainnet launch?
Elysium’s mainnet launches on November 9, 2026. The public testnet has been live since September 22, and the HyperCore read and write hooks arrive roughly four weeks after mainnet.
Does Elysium have a token or airdrop?
No. Elysium has no token and no points program. Fees are paid in HYPE, and half of sequencer revenue buys and burns Kinetiq’s KNTQ. Individual apps on Elysium may still run their own airdrops.
Is Elysium the same as HyperEVM?
No. HyperEVM is Hyperliquid’s own smart contract layer with small blocks. Elysium is a separate Arbitrum Orbit rollup that settles to HyperEVM and runs far faster, with the same HYPE for gas.
How do I get HYPE onto Elysium?
Bridge HYPE from HyperEVM through the official Elysium bridge once it launches on November 9. Alternatively, trade Elysium tokens directly in the fomo app without bridging.
