StonkFun taught me an expensive lesson this weekend: the market does not wait for family time. I had STONK on my watchlist at a $50 million market cap, ready to pull the trigger. Then I got busy riding roller coasters with my kids on our trip in the Netherlands. By the time I checked the charts again, it had blasted past $150 million. A 3x in a day, and I watched none of it happen.
Zero regrets on the roller coasters. Plenty of regrets on the entry. Let’s break down what StonkFun is, why it exploded, and where I want back in.
What Is StonkFun?
StonkFun is a Solana launchpad with one twist that changes everything. Tokens on the platform launch paired against tokenized stocks and ETFs instead of SOL or a stablecoin. Creators can also pair against currencies, commodities, memes, and other crypto.
The flagship example is STONK, the platform’s own token. It trades against SPYx, a tokenized S&P 500 tracker from Backed. In other words, the pool prices STONK in index units rather than dollars or SOL.
On top of that, StonkFun routes a share of its trading revenue into buying STONK on Jupiter and burning it. Real fee flow, real burns, verifiable on-chain.
Why STONK Pumped 250% in a Day
The trigger was an integration with Raydium’s LaunchLab, announced on Saturday. New tokens created on StonkFun will deploy through LaunchLab going forward. That brings cheaper launches, less sniping at deployment, and liquidity that migrates into Raydium pools once bonding completes.
Traders loved it. STONK ripped more than 250% in 24 hours and tagged an all-time high of $0.212 on Sunday. Daily volume hit roughly $135 million.
The pump spilled over into the whole routing stack too. RAY jumped about 46% while JUP gained around 21%, as StonkFun volume flowed through both platforms.
The SPYx Pairing, Without the Rose Tint
Here’s the part most people trading STONK don’t fully understand. A token paired against SPYx has two moving parts in its dollar price. One is the value of SPYx itself, which tracks the S&P 500. The other is the token’s exchange rate against SPYx, set by buyers and sellers in the pool.
So yes, STONK can dump on a day the stock market pumps. And holding a stock-paired memecoin gives you zero claim on the underlying shares. No dividends, no shareholder rights, nothing. You’re trading a meme that happens to be priced in index units. Know that before you size up.
My Trade Plan: Eyeing the $80M Zone
Full transparency, as always. I wanted STONK at $50 million and missed it while hanging upside down in a loop. Right now it sits around a $95 million market cap after cooling off from the highs.
I’m not chasing. My plan is to watch the $80 million range for an entry, and only if the chart structure still looks healthy when we get there. If it never comes back down, so be it. Missing a trade costs nothing. Forcing one usually does.
When I do pull the trigger on Solana memecoins like this, I trade them on the fomo app — our link gets you 10% off fees with code FairSaltySquid. And if you want my entries, invalidation levels, and market reads before they hit the blog, the AirdropAlert Trading Newsletter is where I post them first.
Where StonkFun Fits in the Stock-Meme Trend
Stock-paired tokens went from curiosity to full narrative in a matter of weeks. We just covered the airdrops on tokenized stocks, and launchpads keep multiplying around the theme. Long.xyz runs a similar stock-meme model, while Pons churns out thousands of launches per day on Robinhood’s network.
One clarification, because the names confuse people: StonkFun has no connection to StonkBrokers, the NFT project we reviewed in August. Similar branding, completely different teams and products.
For now, StonkFun is the biggest launchpad running the stock-pairing model, and this weekend’s Raydium deal cements that lead.

Final Words
StonkFun earned its weekend. The Raydium integration is real product news, the buybacks are verifiable, and the stock-pairing angle gives Solana a fresh casino to rotate into. None of that makes STONK a safe hold, though. It makes it a trade, and trades need levels and discipline. Mine sit at the $80 million zone.
Keep watching this whole stock-meme corner. Between the launchpads, the tokens, and the airdrops forming around them, it’s where the action lives right now. I’ll be back with more setups this week — hopefully with fewer roller coasters between me and my fills.
