World Liberty Financial Buys Another $13 Million Ethereum

World Liberty Financial, a crypto project with ties to US President Donald Trump and his family, has continued its accumulation of Ethereum (ETH) with another $13 million buy.

According to an X post today by Lookonchain, which cited on-chain data from Arkham Intelligence, World Liberty Financial bought another 3,473 ETH at an average price of $3,743.  The ETH was acquired through multiple wallets, and some of the newly-acquired holdings appear to have been staked as well.

World Liberty Financial’s Holdings Near 75K ETH

Following the latest purchase, the Trump-linked project now holds 73,616 ETH.

With the Ethereum price trading at $3,702.76 as of 2:28 a.m. EST, World Liberty Financial’s current holdings equate to over $272.5 million. 

The project’s ETH holdings were acquired at an average price of $3,272, resulting in an unrealized profit of more than $33 million, according to Lookonchain’s post. 

Institutions Pivot From Bitcoin To Ethereum

The move by World Liberty Financial comes amid continued institutional interest in the leading altcoin.

Data from Farside Investors shows spot Ethereum ETFs (exchange-traded funds) extended their inflow streak yesterday, with another $533.8 million being poured into the funds yesterday. 

BlackRock’s ETHA led the inflows, with investors adding $426.6 million to the fund’s reserves. 

That’s as capital continued to flow out of spot Bitcoin ETFs yesterday, marking the second consecutive day of net daily outflows. Since the start of the week, over $199 million has flowed out of these BTC investment products. 

Along with funds flowing out of spot Bitcoin ETFs and into spot Ethereum ETFs, QCP Group has also noted that perpetual open interest for ETH has spiked from under $18 billion to over $28 billion in a week.

It added that institutions seem to be leading the charge, and not the retail market.
