StepN & Pantone Join To Launch An NFT Sneaker Collection

StepN Go, a globally acknowledged move-to-earn mobile application, has partnered with Pantone, the global color authority, to launch a new non-fungible token-based sneaker collection. The highly anticipated NFT sneaker collection will be launched on Solana, an open-source blockchain network that supports smart contracts, including non-fungible tokens and a variety of decentralized applications.

StepN & Pantone Drop A New NFT Mint

In a July 22 blog post, StepN Go confirmed partnering with Pantone to launch a non-fungible token sneaker collection. The highly anticipated NFT sneaker collection will go live on July 23, 2025, on MOOAR. MOOAR is a member-only NFT marketplace and launchpad built on the Solana and Ethereum blockchains. It focuses on providing a platform for users to create, buy, and sell unique NFTs, with a strong emphasis on community and rewarding active participants.

Launched in December 2021, STEPN is a Web3 fitness app that integrates non-fungible tokens to reward users for physical activities like walking, jogging, and running. It combines nascent blockchain technology with fitness tracking to incentivize a healthier lifestyle through its novel play-to-earn model. The lifestyle M2E app blends gaming and social elements to make physical activity both health-beneficial and digitally rewarding.

STEPN aims to encourage healthier lifestyles, contribute to climate change efforts, and promote integration into Web3. The non-fungible token sneaker collections in the app enable users to earn in-game crypto tokens $GMT. These NFT sneakers are designed as digital art and are designed they encourage physical activity through tangible rewards like tokens and intangible benefits like improved health.

On the other hand, Pantone is a globally acknowledged colour-matching system used by many industries, including printing, graphic design, paint, and the make-up industry. Pantone is known to artists and homemakers as one of the biggest authorities in the color industry. Pantone is not new to the NFT space. In 2021, the company launched the first-ever NFT collection to celebrate the color of the year.

At the time, the Color of the Year NFT collection, which featured nine unique NFTs created by Paris-based digital artist Polygon1993, utilized Pantone’s “Very Peri” blue to capture humans and other scenes in lo-fi digital renditions emblematic of the artist’s retro-futurist style. The NFT collection was issued through a giveaway on Instagram. The Pantone NFT series was integrated on Texos, one of the “fast, secure, and energy-efficient” blockchain networks.

Under the new integration, the Pantone NFT team anticipates leveraging the StepN NFT creation experience to launch a new non-fungible token sneaker collection dubbed Torch Grass Sneaker. Touch Grass Sneaker is a call to step out, breathe in, and reconnect with the world beneath your feet made for grounding and real movement. This NFT collection will be issued as a raffle mint.

By description, a raffle NFT mint is a process where non-fungible tokens are distributed through a raffle system, often with the goal of creating excitement and community engagement. In this model, participants enter the raffle, and winners are randomly selected to receive these NFTs. These raffles can be hosted on specialized platforms or through smart contracts, and they can offer various prizes, such as allowlists for future mints or the NFTs themselves. Previously, Step N launched a similar NFT mint in partnership with Karate Combat.
