BNB Chain’s latest report highlights significant growth in DAU, trading volumes, and new projects, alongside ecosystem updates and a $100M incentive program.
The BNB Chain ecosystem has reported notable developments and growth metrics for the period between May 13 and May 19, 2025, according to the BNB Chain blog. The blockchain platform continues to make strides in various sectors, including DeFi, AI, and gaming, reflecting its robust expansion and active community engagement.
Key Data Highlights
During the reported week, the BNB Chain observed significant activity with the daily active users (DAU) on Binance Smart Chain (BSC) reaching 1,628,890 and on opBNB hitting 1,975,531. The trading volume for the week was an impressive $66.76 billion, while the total value locked (TVL) stood at $9.501 billion as of May 19.
The number of transactions also saw a substantial increase, with BSC recording 63,847,709 transactions and opBNB 21,962,382 transactions during the same period. These figures underscore the growing adoption and utilization of the BNB Chain.
New and Ongoing Projects
The ecosystem continues to innovate with several new projects launched across different sectors. Notable among them is MOMOFUN, a DeFi platform driven by AI for meme launchpads. Other projects include Boxcat, a gaming platform, and Phron AI, aimed at simplifying on-chain development.
Furthermore, the ecosystem has seen new developments in DeFi through projects like Maneki and eOracle, enhancing the decentralized finance landscape on the BNB Chain.
Ecosystem Updates and Incentives
The BNB Chain Foundation has made significant strides with its $100M Liquidity Incentive Program, purchasing $25K worth of various tokens to bolster ecosystem growth. The foundation’s efforts are part of a broader strategy to support on-chain projects and foster a vibrant blockchain community.
Additionally, the Maxwell Testnet and Mainnet Hardfork are on the horizon, promising reduced block times to 0.75 seconds, which will enhance transaction speed and network efficiency.
Community Engagement and Expansion
To celebrate Bitcoin Pizza Day, the BNB Chain community has been actively engaging users through a BTCFi project vote, offering a chance to win limited-edition plushies. This initiative is part of the broader BTCFi ecosystem growth as Bitcoin prices soar.
The chain has also launched the BNB AI Hack, which includes a $10,000 Cookbook Challenge. This initiative encourages developers to contribute open-source code, fostering innovation and collaboration within the community.
