Dogecoin managed to rise throughout the past couple of months. The asset was trading at a low of $0.08083 before rising to a high of $0.4835 during this period. At the time of writing, DOGE was priced at $0.1683. This came after a 0.55% drop in its price over the past 24 hours.
The world’s richest person first tweeted about the meme coin in the year 2019. He replied to a tweet and suggested that Dogecoin was his favorite cryptocurrency on April 2, 2019. His tweet read,

It should be noted that the meme coin hit an all-time high of $0.7376 in 2021. Dogecoin is currently 77% below its current price.

Around the time of Musk’s initial tweet referencing Dogecoin on April 2, 2019, the meme coin was trading at $0.002552. About $1,000 would have brought in a total of 391,790 DOGE back in 2019. Considering the asset’s current price, this investment would turn into $66,026.65. This marks a notable surge from the initial investment.
While the community is rather confused about Elon Musk’s current stance on Dogecoin, the asset continues to struggle in terms of its price.
