That has yet to come to fruition, with the market struggling amid rising geopolitical tensions. Over the last seven days, XRP has fallen more than 25%, according to CoinMarketCap. Moreover, it dropped another 6% Thursday to trade at $2.33. However, that doesn’t change the potential within the token.
Indeed, there are still traders who believe that the cryptocurrency is ready for a turnaround. Yet, we may even take it a step further. Indeed, there are two key reasons why Ripple’s XRP could emerge as the best-performing crypto in 2025.

The first reason why XRP could dominate the competition this year is the increase in talks of an XRP ETF. With the United States completely overhauling crypto regulation, more exchange-traded funds are expected. Moreover, there are few more popular options than XRP. Grayscale has already filled for the investment vehicle, with it likely to propel the asset to new heights.
Additionally, a second key reason it could potentially skyrocket in value is due to the US crypto stockpile developed by President Trump. There are set to be a shot of assets that are included in this stockpile, and XRP will be one of them.
Its inclusion will place it in rarified air, and we should see it surge alongside tokens like Solana (SOL) and Cardano (ADA). However, with increased regulatory outlooks and the SEC legal troubles likely to come to an end, there is no doubt it should affect XRP a bit differently than it does its competitors.
