Taproot Wizards Mint Goes Live

Taproot Wizards, one of the highly anticipated non-fungible token mints, has finally gone live after more than two years of incubation. The much-awaited NFT collection began trading this Tuesday. In its whitelist phase, the Taproot Wizard NFT team has successfully sold more than 90% of their NFTs, with only 80 digital items left for the public auction. The public auction for the remaining NFTs will start Today, March 27, 2025.

What Is Taproot Wizards?

Taproot Wizards is a digital asset incubation studio renowned for creating the Quantum Cats, one of the largest Ordinals collections by market capitalization. Launched in July 2024, the Quantum Cats is a non-fungible token series featuring a limited edition of 3,333 digital items hosted on the Bitcoin blockchain network. Behind Taproot Wizards are digital artists Udi Wertheimer and Eric Wall.

The Taproot Wizards NFT team began producing their new Taproot Wizards ordinal collection in 2023 but somehow delayed due to unknown reasons. Taproot Wizards NFT collection features a limited edition of 2,121 “wizard” images inspired by a meme circulated during Bitcoin’s early days. This design refers to a figure that was an unofficial symbol of the cryptocurrency. Each token features a wizard with a cloak and hat in honor of the iconic “Bitcoin Wizard” meme from 2013.

This highly anticipated mint went live on Tuesday, March 27, 2025. During this time, the Taproot Wizard team offered 1,750 Taproot Wizard NFTs for the whitelist phase. Fortunately, 95% of the guaranteed whitelist mint spots, representing 1,660 wizards out of 1,750, have been successfully bought by whitelisted wallets. The remaining 80 wizards NFTs are open for sale starting today, March 27, 2025.

How To Mint Taproot Wizards NFTs

The remaining 80 wizards are open to the public without much limitation. Nonetheless, all those who plan to bid with Bitcoin in the auction, must deposit their Bitcoin into the auction website before the auction starts, otherwise they won’t be able to compete with Solana bidders. The NFT mint begins today, March 27, at 11:00 AM ET at 0.420 BTC or about 260 SOL. During this public mint phase, the price will decrease by 0.01 BTC every 3 minutes.
