The Shiba Inu team revealed steps to revive the Shibarium bridge after they successfully recovered the $4.1 million, which a hacker siphoned in September. The scammer exploited loopholes and stole BONE tokens, sending them to different wallets. The team, along with the help of K9 Finance, managed to block and blacklist all the wallets, paralyzing the attacker’s motive to cash out the funds.

Shiba Inu Team Recovers the Stolen Amount on Shibarium
In the latest update, the Shiba Inu team announced a compensation plan for users who were affected by the Shibarium hack. However, the details of the compensation plan will be revealed in the blog. The update reads, “How will repayment work?” and continues, “We’ll share specifics when it’s safe. The design principle: fair, transparent, and auditable—with careful gating and no over‑promises.”
In addition, the Shiba Inu team announced that the Shibarium bridge would soon be revived. “Restore full bridge functionality once the above controls are landed and verified.” The team explained that they are trying to restart the mechanics with a new user experience.

“Plan to make users’ whole PoS Bridge Restart. We’re designing a plan to make users whole and restart mechanics to allow users to bridge/withdraw safely. This includes careful gating, phased limits, and partner coordination.” Nonetheless, they did not provide a tentative timeline on when the Shiba Inu’s Shibarium bridge will be revived.
To keep future hackers at bay, the SHIB team plans to make stricter Shibarium controls. “Proactive deny‑list controls to block malicious actors from initiating or completing bridge flows.” It includes key rotation of validator‑set verification to avoid mismatches. The team was working around the clock and has finally managed to block the attacker’s wallets. The development makes investors gain trust in the Shibarium network as a compensation plan will be laid out next.
