Yuga Labs, a renowned web3 lifestyle, media and digital assets incubation company that created the Bored Ape Yacht Club, Mutant Ape Yacht Club and other related non-fungible token projects, is currently hosting its much-anticipated annual non-fungible token event ApeFest. The NFT event kicked off yesterday at The Conrad Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. In response to the hype coming from this NFT event, the Bored Ape NFT has seen its sales volume flying by +200%.
Bored Ape Jumps +200% In Daily Sales Volume
Data compiled by cryptoslam, an on-chain crypto market data aggregator and non-fungible token explorer tracking non-fungible token collections from more than 20 blockchain networks, shows that the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT collection has made positive growth in trading sales volume. In the past 24 hours, the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT collection has raised a trading sales volume of $819,756.
During this period, the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT trading sales volume has jumped by 213% from the previous day. Launched in 2021, the Bored Ape Yacht Club is a globally acknowledged non-fungible token collection from Yuga Labs featuring a fixed edition of 10,000 profile pictures hosted on the Ethereum blockchain network. The Bored Ape is a sister to Mutant Ape Yacht Club, Bored Ape Kennel Club and Twelvefold NFT collection.
Yuga Labs is also the team building the Otherside metaverse, a platform that fuses elements of online games and virtual worlds, with Otherdeeds holders playing a central role in the ecosystem. The digital asset company is also developing other NFT gaming experiences, such as the Dookey Dash game, to engage its community and explore the capabilities of web3 gaming. Yuga aims at building a vibrant community around its projects through storytelling and exclusive NFT events.
Yuga Labs, the primary organiser of “ApeFest”, is hosting its annual NFT event this weekend in Las Vegas. ApeFest is an annual event hosted by Yuga Labs for holders of the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT collection. This NFT event brings exclusive celebrations for the NFT community that include parties, musical performances by major artists, and exclusive access to new projects and experiences, such as the Otherside meta-universe. It will bring together over 2000 attendees from different parts of the world.
The ApeFest Is Heating Up
The ApeFest 2025 kicked off yesterday at Area15 in Las Vegas, Nevada, alongside ComplexCon, the cultural festival bringing together the world of streetwear, music, art, and food. The due event brings Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT members and guests together for a three-day mix of exclusive music, art, and community events. This year’s lineup features Big Boi of Outkast, Clipse (Pusha T and Malice), Kodak Black, Justin Blau, and Logic’s DJ Rhêtorík.
Beyond the main stage, the weekend will include a poker tournament, private parties, and a Yuga x OpenSea collaboration event, with CEO Garga expected to discuss BAYC’s future. In his older blog post, Garga confirmed that BMW, a world-renowned manufacturer of luxury automobiles and motorcycles, will be attending the ApeFest 2025. BMW first attended ApeFest Hong Kong in 2023, where the car company brought out a BMW i5 M60 for a digital light show experience that let Apes project their primates onto the car.
Then, in 2024, BMW aped in even harder, launching the Bored Ape Bimmer Club, releasing a line of BMW x BAYC merch, inviting community members to go for the ride of a lifetime in a BAYC-themed mixed reality race that was anything but boring, and even collaborating with BAYC member Rida to create a 1/1 “ApeMobile” worth nearly $100,000 that’s now owned by BAYC member Weidner Dennis. Yuga Labs and BMW are expected to lay out their plans for this year’s event.
