Lucie, SHIB’s marketing lead, described Shiba Inu’s SHI stablecoin in depth in a detailed post on X. She explained that Ryoshi conceived the idea of launching SHI back in 2021.
“The SHI stablecoin is a crucial development within the Shib ecosystem, currently in the works and not yet released. Its introduction may significantly enhance the Shibarium network. Introduction: SHI was first introduced by Ryoshi in 2021, designed to function as a stable, decentralized currency. Target Peg: The original idea for SHI is to peg it at $0.01.“
The stablecoin is under rigorous testing and development, which is why it’s taking its time before it’s introduced in the market as a mainstream crypto product.

When asked about a particular launch date of the SHI stablecoin, Kaal Dhairya, a core member of the SHIB community, shared how the team is waiting for clear regulatory approvals before launching its SHI stablecoin.
