The XRP market was hit with an array of hurdles due to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). This reflected badly on the altcoin’s price. Despite its rise to nearly $4, the cryptocurrency failed to retain itself even above $1. Things took a different turn for the altcoin in 2024. The asset jumped from a low of $0.3911 all the way to a high of $3.39 this year.

At the time of writing, XRP was trading at $2.00 following a 0.40% increase throughout the past 24 hours. The asset hit an all-time low of $0.002802 in 2014 about 11 years ago. Currently, the cryptocurrency has grown by more than 71689.44%.

At a price of $2 per coin today, an investment of $1,000 in XRP at the time of the $0.002802 trade would be worth around $712,920.78. The investment in XRP would have increased by almost 71,192%. This marks a massive uptick in returns during this period. It further highlights XRP’s growth despite the several hurdles the network faced over the past couple of years. The asset’s addition into the US strategic reserve could also push the price of XRP onto the next level.
