Doodles Sets To Launch Its $DOOD NFT Coin This Friday, May 9

Doodles, the media franchise and the team behind the globally acknowledged non-fungible token collection Doodles, has announced plans to launch its highly anticipated NFT coin, “$DOOD,” this week. The Doodles NFT team will hold its “$DOOD” token generation event this Friday, May 9, 2025. In response to this announcement, the Doodles NFT series has surged by +100% in daily trading sales volume.

$DOOD TGE Is Happening This Friday

In a May 07 blog post, the Doodles NFT team confirmed plans to launch its highly anticipated utility token $DOOD this week. This much-awaited utility token generation event will happen this Friday, May 9, 2025. Doodles’ NFT coin $DOOD will be listed on some of the leading spot trading platforms such as ByBit and Binance crypto exchange. The exact time for the $DOOD listing will be announced later.

Launched in 2021, Doodles is a globally acknowledged non-fungible token collection from the digital artist Burnt Toast featuring a limited edition of 10,000 cartoons hosted on the Ethereum blockchain network. The NFT collection Doodle features a combination of traits, ranging from hairstyles and clothing to accessories and more. Since its inception, Doodles has gained popularity for its distinctive style, presentation, and leadership.

In March 2023, the Ethereum NFT project announced a shift towards becoming a leading media franchise. At the time, the announcement met with some criticism and backlash from community members on Twitter. In response to the community backlash, Doodles did not fully evolve into a media franchise. In February 2025, the NFT team announced the launch of its official NFT coin “$DOOD” for the Doodles NFT ecosystem.

The Doodles NFT team announced the launch of its token while in Paris, France, for the annual NFT event, NFT Paris. Established three years ago, NFT Paris is a yearly non-fungible token event that brings together over 20,000 visitors and over 400 speakers from different regions worldwide to rekindle the NFT fire. The NFT Paris event featured high-profile speakers from top NFT brands, including Luca Netz, the CEO of Pudgy Penguins, and Sebastien Borget, the CEO of The Sandbox.

Doodles NFT Coin “$DOOD” Distribution

The upcoming Doodles native token “$DOOD” will feature a limited edition of 10 billion coins stored on the Solana blockchain network, with a future bridge to Base, an Ethereum L2 blockchain network. The NFT team has allocated 68% of the total supply to its community, with 30% of the 68% allocated supply going to the Doodles NFT community. It has allocated 25% of the tokens as its ecosystem fund, 10% as liquidity, and 17% for the development team.

$DOOD will launch with a supply of 10,000,000,000 on Solana, with a future bridge to Base.

The Doodles NFT team has allocated 13% to the New Blood, an initiative designed to bring new participants into the Doodles ecosystem, even if they don’t own an original Doodles NFT or other Doodles collectible. The New Blood community members won’t need to register for the $DOOD airdrop to get tokens. In response to this highly anticipated airdrop, Doodles has surged 143% in daily NFT sales volume.
