Following its partnership with SWIFT, many are watching closely to see how high the Hedera coin will climb. Some analysts are especially bullish, projecting the altcoin to continue a climb towards the top-10 cryptocurrencies by market cap. Indeed, with talk of more exchange-traded funds abounding in the US, some assets are starting to form some bullish increases. Among them is Hedera, as HBAR eyes $0.50 as the next step towards $1.
The asset has been one of the bigger surprises in the market this year. In the first two months of 2025, a host of cryptocurrencies had failed to make significant increases possible. However, as the market rebounds, HBAR appears to be leading the pack, even outpacing Ripple XRP this week. Although the asset had declined more than 3% over the last 24 hours, HBAR was positioned firmly at the $0.24 level. Moreover, the last seven days had seen Hedera increase as much as 20%, according to CoinMarketCap. Its current position marks a 101% increase from where it was in March of last year.
Hedera’s recent partnership with SWIFT has allowed it to establish a clear advantage in improving transaction speed and transparency. As a result, investor interest in the HBAR coin is rising, with trading volume alone up in the past week. At press time, investors are holding the coin, waiting for a further boom to occur. In the last 24 hours, its trading volume is down 40%.

Can Hedera’s HBAR Cryptocurrency Reach $0.50?
On the quest for fifty cents, Hedera HBAR is on a clear path towards reaching that value. Crypto price prediction platform CoinCodex projects the asset to jump as much as 94% before March is over. Specifically, they expect HBAR to end the month with a $0.46 high. However, this may be the peak of HBAR for altcoin season.
A big reason for the optimism is likely the ongoing discussions regarding an HBAR ETF. A recent filing was a reason for the asset’s 20% increase. Moreover, approval could have it reaching the $0.55 yearly high that CoinCodex predicts for the token come this Fall.
Furthermore, Hedera’s HBAR may be one of several altcoins involved in an upcoming US strategic crypto reserve. Beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum, there are several contenders that could feature in the reserve, such as LINK and HBAR. At a minimum, the continuous endorsement of cryptocurrency and assets like HBAR by the US government will only mean more bullish momentum for the market.
