BNB Price Soars 5%, Leapfrogs XRP, Tether As 3rd-Largest Crypto

The BNB price soared 5% in the last 24 hours to trade at $1,311 as of 4 a.m. EST on a 105% increase in trading volume to $12.05 billion.

The pump enabled BNB, the native token of BNB Chain, to leapfrog over XRP and Tether to become the third-largest crypto by market capitalization.

That comes as CEA Industries announced that it holds 480,000 BNB tokens worth over $633 million. The company is adopting Binance Coin as its main treasury asset and aims to raise more funds to expand its holdings further.

The company initially invested about $413 million in BNB, saying the strategy underscores its confidence in BNB’s long-term potential.

BNB Coin Price Hits New All-Time High

The BNB price is riding a powerful wave as both on-chain activity and institutional demand ramp up. Over just the past week, BNB has outperformed most major cryptocurrencies, with its price surging more than 17% in that period.

Just days ago, BNB Chain set a new record with 58 million monthly active addresses, overtaking Solana for the top blockchain in terms of user activity. The rise is also partly due to the decentralised exchange Aster, whose total value locked (TVL) has jumped 570% to $2.34 billion since its launch last month.

On-Chain Signals Point to Demand for BNB

On-chain data support this bullish run. BNB’s network has been red hot, with over 52 million daily active addresses recorded in September alone, and an explosion in decentralised finance (DeFi) activity led by the Aster Protocol. 

Transaction volumes are up, and wallet addresses holding BNB for more than 30 days have increased, showing that holders are confident and less eager to sell now.

Total value locked on the chain has surged alongside transaction activity, reflecting users staking and locking BNB for rewards rather than quickly trading out. Moreover, new partnerships, such as a data-link deal with Chainlink, bring major U.S. economic data onto the BNB Chain, making it more attractive for institutional use.

Experts believe that with institutional inflows and DeFi participation booming, BNB benefits uniquely from its close tie to the Binance exchange, one of the world’s biggest platforms for crypto traders. This “utility premium” makes BNB an asset that more companies and treasuries want to accumulate.

BNB Price: Technical Analysis

Looking at the price chart, BNB’s rally remains strong as the coin trades above its key moving averages. The 50-week Simple Moving Average (SMA) is $716.16, and the 200-week SMA is $452.32. BNB sits far above both, showing clear bullish control. The chart also shows a textbook parabolic move since early 2025.

Other technical indicators confirm this trend. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is at 80.79, which is quite high and typically signals overbought conditions. Still, prices can stay in this zone for extended periods during major crypto rallies.

The MACD line (129.94) is firmly above the signal line (83.21), confirming that bullish momentum is in play. While the ADX, at 40.15, signals a strong ongoing uptrend.

Support levels to watch are $900 and $800. These were previous resistance zones but now act as safety nets if the price dips in the coming days or weeks. As long as BNB stays above these supports, the uptrend remains strong.

If the bullish momentum continues, analysts see a potential move towards $1,400 and possibly $1,500 before the end of Q4 2025. But if profit-taking hits and the price dips below $900, expect new buyers around the $800 level to step in and defend the uptrend. 

This would likely make any correction short-lived, as BNB’s growing adoption and treasury demand provide powerful tailwinds. BNB’s powerful rally, institutional demand, and rising on-chain activity have created the perfect set-up for continued growth. 

With new treasury buyers like CEA Holdings stepping in and technical indicators supporting more upside, BNB is positioned to remain in the spotlight for the rest of the year.
