Shiba Inu started 2025 on the back foot and is attracting bearish sentiments in the charts. It had surged around 180% last year when Trump reclaimed the White House in November. SHIB had reached a high of $0.00003284 in December last year but faced a price reversal thereon.

Its price fell from $0.00003284 to $0.00001597 in just two months wiping away investors’ money in a jiffy. In the last two months, Shiba Inu had little to no price spurts despite Bitcoin hovering around the $96,000 to $100,000 mark. The broader cryptocurrency market has overall remained on the front foot this year except for SHIB.

Shiba Inu: A 25% Decline This Year
Shiba Inu has declined 25% year-to-date with investors taking heavy losses since January. Traders who took an entry position this year are all facing massive losses in 2025. The buying pressure remains stagnant and only a bull run could attract investors into its fold.

If SHIB declines further, it stands at a risk of adding an extra zero to the charts. For the uninitiated, Shiba Inu remained trading with five zeroes between 2022 to early 2024. It took a lot of effort to get back to trading with four zeroes after nearly two years.

The dog-themed token reached an all-time high of $0.00008616 in October 2021 and is unable to reclaim its previous glory. It is down nearly 81.5% from its all-time high and is yet to breach its ATH in over three years. Only investors who took an early entry position in SHIB made stellar profits with the token.
