A HyperEVM airdrop checker scans the 0x address you use on Hyperliquid’s EVM chain and looks for airdrops tied to it. HyperEVM addresses use the same format as Ethereum, so you can paste yours straight into our airdrop eligibility checker. The scan runs alongside your other EVM activity.
That’s only half the job, though. Hyperliquid splits your account into two parts, and airdrops can land in either one. If you only look at one side, you might never see what you received.
In this guide, you’ll learn how the Hyperliquid account setup works and how to check both sides. You’ll also see why HyperEVM users miss airdrops that need action.
HyperCore vs HyperEVM: One Address, Two Balances
Hyperliquid runs two environments under one chain. HyperCore is the trading engine, home to spot and perp markets. HyperEVM, live since February 18, 2025, is the smart contract side where DeFi apps run.
Both use the same address. However, each side keeps its own balances. Tokens on HyperCore won’t show up when your wallet is set to the HyperEVM network, and the reverse is true too.
That catches a lot of people out. Someone opens MetaMask on HyperEVM, sees an empty wallet and assumes nothing arrived. Meanwhile, their tokens sit on HyperCore, visible only inside the Hyperliquid app.
So treat every Hyperliquid address as two places to check. Scan the address, then open the app and look at your HyperCore spot balance too.
How to Check Your HyperEVM Wallet for Airdrops
- Copy the 0x address you connected to Hyperliquid. It’s the same address you used to bridge funds in.
- Paste it into the AirdropAlert checker linked above and run the scan.
- Next, open the Hyperliquid app with that wallet and check your spot balances on HyperCore.
- Switch your wallet to the HyperEVM network and look at that balance as well.
- Repeat for every wallet you ever connected, including old ones from the points era.
Before claiming anything, confirm the claim page through the project’s official channels. Also keep a little HYPE on HyperEVM, since it’s the gas token there.
The HYPE Genesis Airdrop: No Claim Needed
On November 29, 2024, Hyperliquid sent 310 million HYPE, or 31% of total supply, to about 94,000 wallets. Eligibility came from points earned by trading on the platform in the months before the snapshot.
I was one of those 94,000 wallets. On genesis day, my HYPE simply showed up in my Hyperliquid account. There was no claim button and no deadline to worry about.
For a deep dive into how that drop played out, read our breakdown of the massive HYPE airdrop.
Here’s the twist. Because nobody had to claim, some recipients didn’t notice right away. They had used Hyperliquid once, never reopened the app, and missed the news. Their tokens were safe on HyperCore, but they sat there unseen.
Why HyperEVM Users Miss Their Airdrops
Not every airdrop in this ecosystem arrives on its own like HYPE did. Many HyperEVM projects run retroactive points programs. The project tracks your activity, then rewards you later. Some of those rewards ask you to do something first.
Kinetiq is a good example. It’s the biggest liquid staking protocol on HyperEVM, where users stake HYPE and receive kHYPE. In November 2025, Kinetiq launched its KNTQ token and set aside 25% of supply for an initial airdrop. Most of it went to kPoints holders, and a small slice went to holders of the Hypurr NFT.
The catch? Eligible users had to accept Kinetiq’s terms of use before a November 21 cutoff. Anyone who wasn’t watching could miss that step entirely.
There are other common reasons people miss HyperEVM drops:
- They check the wrong side of their account, as covered above.
- Their eligibility came from an NFT they forgot they held.
- Points programs feel abstract, so people stop tracking them.
- They farmed with a secondary wallet they no longer use.
Farming HyperEVM for What Comes Next
A big part of HYPE’s supply is still reserved for future emissions and community rewards. Because of that, many farmers stay active on HyperEVM, hoping for another Hyperliquid round. Nothing is confirmed, but we track the possibility on our Hyperliquid Season 3 listing.
Delta neutral farming is my bread and butter, and Hyperliquid fits it well. It’s not flashy. Sometimes it takes a year of grind before an airdrop arrives. Every so often, though, that airdrop is huge.
For a lower-risk way to stay active, see our guide on farming stablecoins on HyperEVM. It shows how to put idle stables to work while building activity.
HyperEVM Scams and Transfer Mistakes
Hyperliquid’s success makes it a big target. Scammers know people are waiting for a new HYPE drop, so fake claim pages appear often. Until Hyperliquid announces a new round on its official channels, treat any “HYPE claim” link as fake.
Watch for HyperEVM-specific mistakes too:
- The HYPE transfer address only accepts HYPE. Hyperliquid uses special system addresses to move tokens between HyperCore and HyperEVM. Each spot asset has its own, so sending the wrong token can lose it for good.
- Address poisoning. Scammers send tiny transfers from lookalike addresses so they show up in your history. Always copy addresses from a trusted address book, not your transaction list.
- Wrong network. Check that HyperEVM is selected before you send anything.

Final Words
Every Hyperliquid wallet has two sides to check. Scan the address, then look at both your HyperCore and HyperEVM balances. HYPE arrived without a claim, but newer ecosystem drops like KNTQ asked users to act before a deadline.
Also farming on Solana? Then use our Solana airdrop checker guide for that wallet too.
FAQ
What is a HyperEVM airdrop checker?
It’s a tool that scans your HyperEVM 0x address for airdrops linked to it. Because the format matches Ethereum, the same scan covers your other EVM chains as well.
Do HyperCore and HyperEVM use the same address?
Yes. Both use the same 0x address, but each keeps separate balances. That’s why you should check both sides.
Did I need to claim the HYPE genesis airdrop?
No. Hyperliquid sent HYPE directly to eligible accounts on November 29, 2024. Recipients found it in their HyperCore balance.
Why can’t I see my HYPE in MetaMask?
Your wallet is probably set to HyperEVM, while the tokens sit on HyperCore. Open the Hyperliquid app to see your HyperCore spot balance.
Will there be another Hyperliquid airdrop?
Nothing is confirmed. Part of HYPE’s supply is reserved for future community rewards, which is why many farmers stay active on HyperEVM.
Is a site offering a new HYPE claim legit?
Treat it as fake unless Hyperliquid announces it on official channels. Fake claim pages are among the most common scams in this ecosystem.
