PEPE is coiling inside a symmetrical triangle on the 1H chart, and I have a limit long resting at 0.003912 on the 1000PEPE contract. That works out to $0.000003912 per coin. Price trades near 0.00407 right now, so the order sits about 4% below the market. My stop goes under the rising trendline near 0.00378, and my target is the 0.0044 range high. The setup gives me roughly 3.7 to 1 if it fills and plays out.
This is a patient trade in an impatient week. Below, I cover the chart, the earnings calendar that will decide the tape, and where my other positions stand.
Why PEPE Today
Meme coins are the highest beta corner of crypto. When risk appetite returns, they move first and hardest. When it leaves, they bleed the most. That makes PEPE a clean way to express a view on the week without touching the majors.
On top of that, PEPE bounced 5.7% in the last 24 hours while Bitcoin added under 1%. Its market cap sits around $1.72 billion, which still ranks it among the biggest memes. If you are new to the coin, my how to buy PEPE guide covers exchanges, the fake tokens, and the row of zeros that confuses every first-time buyer.
The PEPE Triangle on the 1H Chart
Let me describe the chart in words. Since the October 5 high near 0.00455, PEPE has printed lower highs. Meanwhile, since the October 9 low near 0.00364, it has printed higher lows. Draw a line through each series and you get a symmetrical triangle. Price now sits in the narrow part, right under the descending resistance line.
Two more details matter. First, open interest has drifted lower for the entire length of the pattern. Leverage is leaving the coin, not piling in. Second, volume has faded along with it. Both are textbook behavior for a triangle in its late stage. Compression like this usually ends with a fast move, and the direction decides the trade.
So why not buy here? Because the market is pressed against resistance, and I do not chase into a trendline. The better entry sits lower. I covered this kind of structure in my market structure and trend lines guide, and the principle is the same every time. Buy support, sell resistance, and let the breakout prove itself.
My PEPE Trade Plan
Here is the order as it sits on the exchange.
Entry: limit long at 0.003912 on 1000PEPE. In spot terms, that is $0.000003912 per PEPE.
Stop: just below the rising support line, around 0.00378. If the triangle floor breaks, the pattern is dead and I want out fast.
Target: 0.0044, the top of the recent range. That is the level where the pattern started, and it is my first real resistance above.
Risk versus reward: about 0.00013 of risk against 0.00049 of reward. Call it 3.7 to 1.
The level is not random. It is roughly halfway between the current price and the trendline. A pullback that deep still keeps the triangle intact, but it shakes out late longs who bought the bounce. Those are the fills I want. If PEPE never comes down, I miss the trade and lose nothing. If it drops straight through my stop, I lose a small amount and move on. Both outcomes are fine.
One warning. On a meme coin, a stop that sits 3.5% away can get hit on a single wick. Keep leverage sane and size the position so that one full loss barely registers.
The Earnings Week That Decides the Tape
In my opinion, midweek decides everything.
Netflix reports Tuesday after the close. Analysts expect about $0.82 per share, and the options market prices a move of close to 8% either way. That is the warm-up act.
Wednesday after the close is the main event. Meta, Tesla, IBM, Lam Research, and Texas Instruments all report that evening. Meta guided $61 to $64 billion in revenue for the quarter. Tesla is expected to earn around $0.44 per share on roughly $27.6 billion in revenue. Texas Instruments and Lam Research are the ones I care about most, because they are a direct test for semiconductors.
That test comes at a bad moment. Last week, the iShares Semiconductor ETF lost 11.8%, and chipmakers posted their longest losing streak since 2008. CoreWeave fell more than 20% on fears about how AI capital spending gets financed. The Nasdaq had its worst week since the April tariff selloff. Crypto followed, with Bitcoin dipping under $80K before recovering to around $81.8K today.
The Fed cannot help this week. The central bank is in its blackout period until the October 27-28 meeting, so no speeches, no leaks, no cover. Hot CPI at 3.7% and PPI at 6.3% already pushed rate hike odds higher earlier this month. Earnings are the only thing driving the market.
Two outcomes. If Meta, Tesla, and the chip names show that AI investment is paying off, tech stocks catch a bid and crypto follows. Memes would run hardest in that scenario, and my PEPE long would probably fill on a dip and then go. If the results disappoint, a squeeze toward $75K Bitcoin comes back into play. In that case, PEPE breaks the triangle to the downside, my stop does its job, and I wait for the next setup.
I am also watching oil. Crude sits near $110 on Middle East and shipping disruptions. Higher oil feeds inflation, inflation pushes yields up, and higher yields weigh on every risk asset. That is the quiet risk underneath the earnings noise.
Stocks Are Already in Extreme Fear
CNN’s Fear and Greed Index for the stock market reads 24 today, deep in extreme fear. It closed at 17 on Friday. One week ago, it sat at 46 and neutral. A month ago it printed 30. Sentiment went from calm to panic in five trading days.
Here is the thing about that gauge. The stock market index tips into extreme fear on a bad week. Crypto rarely gets there that fast. Our market needs weeks of grinding lower, liquidation after liquidation, before the crypto fear gauge reads that low. So when equities panic this quickly, it usually says more about positioning than about the economy. Everyone leaned the same way on AI, and last week they all leaned out at once.
Extreme fear is not a buy signal on its own. However, it does mean the easy selling is done. A single decent earnings print from Meta or the chip names could flip the mood fast. That asymmetry is part of why my PEPE order sits below the market instead of above it.
Where My Other Positions Stand
I am long BTC, HYPE, ETH, and DOGE. Bitcoin already hit its first target, so that stop now sits at entry and the trade is a free roll. The other three have not taken profit yet. All of them carry stops, and all of them face the same Wednesday test. I explained the DOGE entry in my Dogecoin range low long post.
ZEC stopped me out this weekend. Barely, but a stop is a stop. The plan from my Zcash $1,000 setup was right about the level and wrong about the timing. Zcash bounced almost 4% today, so I might look for a new entry once the structure resets. No rush.
CATE remains a swing long. That one is a longer play and has nothing to do with this week.
So the book is long across the board going into a binary event. That is a real risk, and I would rather say it plainly than tidy it up afterward. Stops are set, size is modest, and one profit target is already banked. The market can shake me out, but it cannot hurt me badly.
Why Trade PEPE Instead of Holding It
Readers ask me this constantly. The answer is simple. PEPE swings 20% on days when Bitcoin barely moves, and it does that in both directions. That volatility punishes holders and rewards traders who respect levels.
I faded PEPE at a $2 million market cap and watched it run to billions. That lesson is why I trade it with a plan now. PEPE has no team and no roadmap, so the community carries the whole thing, the same force behind every community takeover in crypto. Final Words
PEPE is squeezed into a triangle with falling open interest and fading volume. My limit long at 0.003912 waits for a dip into the pattern, with a stop near 0.00378 and a target at 0.0044. Whether it fills depends on Netflix on Tuesday and the big five on Wednesday. Good earnings and the frog jumps. Bad earnings and I take a small loss while Bitcoin eyes $75K.
Either way, the plan is written down before the event, not after. That is the whole point.

FAQ
What is the PEPE triangle pattern?
Since early October, PEPE has made lower highs and higher lows on the 1H chart. Those converging trendlines form a symmetrical triangle. Open interest and volume have both declined inside it, which usually points to a sharp move once price breaks out.
Where is my PEPE long entry?
A limit order at 0.003912 on the 1000PEPE contract, which equals $0.000003912 per PEPE. That is around 4% below the current price.
What are my stop and target on PEPE?
The stop sits just under the rising trendline near 0.00378. The target is 0.0044, the top of the recent range. The ratio works out to about 3.7 to 1.
Why do earnings matter for crypto this week?
The Fed is in blackout until October 27-28, so earnings are the only major driver. Meta, Tesla, IBM, Lam Research, and Texas Instruments report Wednesday after the close. Strong results support risk assets. Weak results could pull Bitcoin toward $75K.
Is PEPE a good coin to hold?
I trade it rather than hold it. PEPE moves 20% in a day in either direction, which makes it a trader’s coin. Early holders did well, but most people who buy late get shaken out.
