The RedotPay card is a custodial Visa card that lets you spend stablecoins and crypto in over 100 countries. You pay $10 once for the virtual card or $100 for the physical one. After that, no monthly or annual fee applies. In short, it is the easiest crypto card to get almost anywhere in the world.
That reach explains the growth. RedotPay launched in Hong Kong in 2023 and now reports more than 6 million users. As a result, the card shows up in nearly every serious comparison. This RedotPay card review covers the fees, the limits, the Pro membership, and the trade-offs. We already track the welcome bonus on our RedotPay listing page, so today we go deeper.
What Is RedotPay?
RedotPay is a Hong Kong fintech built around stablecoin payments. It closed a $107 million Series B in December 2025, lifting total funding to roughly $194 million. Backers include Lightspeed, Coinbase Ventures, and Pantera Capital. Because of that, it ranks among the best-funded names in crypto cards.
The usage numbers are just as strong. According to the company, annualized payment volume sits near $10 billion. Besides the card, the app bundles swaps, bank payouts, P2P trading, credit, and an Earn product. In other words, it works like a crypto neobank for people who live on stablecoins.
How the RedotPay Card Works
First, you deposit crypto into your RedotPay account. USDT and USDC are the usual picks, although BTC and ETH work too. Then the card converts only what you need at the moment you pay. Therefore, you never have to preload an exact amount.
Three card types exist today:
- Virtual card: arrives minutes after KYC and plugs into Apple Pay or Google Pay.
- Physical card: adds chip payments and ATM cash withdrawals.
- Solana edition: a themed virtual card for users who fund through Solana.
Visa acceptance covers more than 130 million merchants worldwide. Meanwhile, spending limits rank among the highest in the category. That combination suits both small daily purchases and large travel bills.
RedotPay Fees
Fees are where this card needs an honest look. Getting started is cheap, but every purchase carries a small cost. Here is the current picture:
| Fee | Cost |
|---|---|
| Virtual card | $10 one-time |
| Physical card | $100 one-time |
| Monthly or annual fee | None |
| Crypto conversion | 1% |
| Foreign currency spending | 1.2% extra |
| ATM withdrawal | 2% up to $10,000 a month, then 3% |
| On-chain deposit | Free |
| Top-up by bank card or PayPal | 3% |
So what does a purchase really cost? Spending in your card’s own currency costs about 1%. However, paying in another currency stacks the 1.2% on top, for 2.2% in total. For example, a $1,000 trip abroad costs roughly $22 in fees.
On-chain deposits remain the smart funding route. Topping up with a bank card burns 3% before you spend anything. We compare these numbers across the field in our crypto cards guide.
RedotPay Pro: Is the Cashback Worth It?
The standard card pays no rewards at all. Instead, cashback lives behind RedotPay Pro, a paid membership launched in June 2026. Two plans exist:
- Monthly, $12.90: waives the $10 virtual card fee and pays 3% cashback on Apple Pay and Google Pay purchases.
- Annual, $129: adds a free physical card, ATM fee waivers on $1,000 a month, and an extra 1% APY on Earn.
Cashback stops at $18 per month, however. You reach that cap at $600 of monthly mobile wallet spending. Consequently, the monthly plan nets about $5 at best. Below roughly $430 in monthly spend, it loses money.
The annual plan makes more sense. A full year of capped cashback returns $216 against the $129 price. In addition, the waived physical card saves another $100. Still, only regular spenders should bother.
Where RedotPay Beats Other Cards
Availability is the main win. Many rival cards serve only the US, the EU, or a short list of countries. By contrast, RedotPay works across Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East. For readers in those regions, it is often the only serious option.
India deserves a special mention here. Because regulations there keep getting tighter, RedotPay is one of the few crypto cards Indian users can still apply for. We tested that ourselves: a member of our team in Delhi signed up, applied, and now uses the card without issues.
Simplicity comes second. There is no token to stake and no tier ladder to climb. Likewise, you need no DeFi knowledge to fund the card. A stablecoin deposit is enough.
The wider app also matters. You can send money to bank accounts and e-wallets, or borrow against your crypto. Because the physical card pulls cash from ATMs, it covers trips where card payments fail.
My Experience With the RedotPay Card
RedotPay is my everyday card right now. I use it for daily spending, and it rarely leaves my phone wallet. Because it runs on Visa, it works pretty much everywhere I go.
Tap to pay has been flawless so far. I simply hold my phone to the terminal, and the payment clears in seconds. Likewise, the ATM limits are generous, so pulling cash on a trip is never a problem.
One detail surprised me. The app is not available in the United States, yet the card worked fine there. I paid with it in both Miami and Las Vegas without a single decline. So travelers can spend in the US, even though residents cannot sign up.
Overall, the app and the card feel very smooth. After daily use, I would recommend it without hesitation.
Drawbacks to Know
No card is perfect, and this one has clear weak spots:
- Custody: RedotPay holds your funds, so only keep spending money there. Our guide on self-custody versus exchange storage explains the risk.
- No free rewards: without Pro, you earn nothing back.
- Upfront cost: both issuance fees are non-refundable.
- No US signups: the app is not available in the United States, although the card itself works there.
- Pricey cash: ATM withdrawals cost 2% to 3%.
Reward hunters may therefore want a card with free cashback. However, few of those cards match this country coverage. So the better pick depends on where you live and how you spend.

RedotPay Alternatives
Other cards fit other needs. KAST leans on Solana and referral rewards, and our KAST listing has the details. Meanwhile, exchange users may prefer the Bybit card, since it spends straight from their exchange balance. Our Bybit review explains that platform in full.
Keep This Content Free
Card reviews like this one take hours of fee-checking, and partner links pay for that time. So if you also trade, consider signing up through OKX or Bybit. It costs nothing extra and keeps our reviews independent.
Final Words
The verdict of this RedotPay card review is simple. It is the most accessible crypto card on the market, although not the most rewarding. Low entry cost, wide country coverage, and high limits make it an easy first card. Above all, it suits stablecoin earners in regions that other issuers ignore.
Fees deserve respect, however. Budget 1% on normal purchases and 2.2% abroad. Also, treat the account like a wallet for spending money, not a vault. With those rules in mind, I recommend it, and it stays my daily card.
