Capcom’s ‘Onimusha: Way of the Sword’ demo now live on GeForce NOW, with full release set for Sept. 3. India launch expands cloud gaming reach.
Capcom’s Onimusha: Way of the Sword has debuted on NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW, with a demo now available for streaming ahead of its full release on September 3. The game offers players a dark fantasy experience set in Edo Japan, featuring intense battles, precise swordplay, and the signature Oni Gauntlet for absorbing enemy souls. This marks the latest addition to the cloud gaming platform, which continues to expand its catalog of RTX-powered titles.
GeForce NOW members can access the demo without the need for downloads or high-end hardware, leveraging the platform’s RTX 5080-class GPUs for enhanced visuals and performance. Ultimate-tier members can stream the game at maximum settings across PCs, Macs, handhelds, mobile devices, and even TVs, ensuring accessibility across a wide range of devices.
The demo can be found in the GeForce NOW app, and gamers are encouraged to add the title to their wishlists to prepare for the September launch. Capcom’s announcement comes as NVIDIA continues to position GeForce NOW as a leading platform for cloud gaming, offering premium features like ray tracing, DLSS, and Reflex technology to deliver a seamless gaming experience.
GeForce NOW Expands to India
In a significant move, GeForce NOW has officially launched in India, transitioning from beta to public availability. Indian gamers now have access to a variety of membership options, including free basic tiers, monthly subscriptions, and flexible day passes. The addition of UPI payment support makes it easier for local users to join the service and enjoy RTX-powered gaming without the need for expensive hardware upgrades.
This launch is part of NVIDIA’s broader strategy to grow its global footprint. GeForce NOW has been steadily expanding support for devices, including native apps for Linux PCs and Amazon Fire TV, introduced earlier this year. The platform also rolled out next-gen RTX 5080 GPUs for Ultimate members starting in April 2026, further enhancing its competitive edge.
New Games Join the Cloud
Aside from Onimusha, additional titles have landed on GeForce NOW this week. Highlights include the chaotic action game Denshattack!, now available on Steam and Xbox Game Pass, and The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu, which launched on Steam on July 15. Other new arrivals include Heave Ho 2 and Fogpiercer, broadening the platform’s appeal to fans of indie games and blockbusters alike.
Since its official release in 2020, GeForce NOW has become a key player in the cloud gaming market. By allowing users to stream their own game libraries without downloads or updates, NVIDIA has tapped into a growing demand for accessible, hardware-free gaming. As of July 2026, the service supports thousands of titles and boasts cutting-edge features like DLSS 4.5 and RTX-powered enhancements, maintaining its competitive edge in a rapidly evolving industry.
With the addition of Onimusha: Way of the Sword and the expansion into India, NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW is poised to capture a larger share of the global gaming market. For gamers eager to try the demo or explore other new titles, the service continues to prove why cloud gaming is no longer just a future trend—it’s a reality.
