Every major crypto project has an official Discord server. Inside that server, they assign special roles to members based on what they do — posting content, helping newcomers, joining events, reaching activity milestones, or verifying on-chain behavior.
Those roles are visible to the team. They get linked to whitelists, early access, and in some cases, directly to airdrop eligibility criteria.
The key difference from normal airdrop farming: you don’t need money to start. So it’s a pretty good play for bear markets.
No gas fees. Zero bridging. No holding requirements on day one. You need time, effort, and genuine engagement.
That said — low-effort farming almost never works. Teams running manual review systems can spot generic participation immediately. The approach that actually lands roles is the same one that would make you a legitimately valuable community member anyway.

Manual review systems A real person on the team evaluates your contributions. These reward people who genuinely understand the project — who can explain what it builds, why it matters, and produce content others find useful. Generic positivity gets ignored. Specific, informed engagement gets noticed.
Know which type you’re dealing with before you invest time.

Base

Don’t spread yourself across all ten at once. Pick two or three that match your current skills and interests. A developer should prioritize Base and Utexo. A content creator fits Seismic and Abstract better. Someone with time but no money should start with Decibel and Fhenix.
