Ripple’s native token, XRP, experienced a phenomenal rally in January 2018, rising from a low of $0.24 to a high of $2.46. Traders who held onto the token saw their portfolios soar nearly 900%. An investment of $1,000 turned into $10,000 back then and was a prime asset.
Well, that was eight years ago, and a leading analyst on TradingView shared a chart explaining that Ripple’s XRP might breakout in 2026. If the altcoin experiences a breakout, present-day holders could make stellar profits.

Ripple’s XRP: A New Breakout Price Target Set By Analyst
Analyst CryptoPatel explained that a breakout cannot be ruled out in 2026, similar to the 2018 rally. The analyst revealed that sellers have slowed down, and the buyers are now defending the lows at the $2.15 level. This gives the altcoin strength in the charts to maneuver towards the greener side of the spectrum.
If Ripple’s XRP sustains above the $2.15 level, it would enter the demand zone. “As Long as price respects this support region, the primary technical projection remains $8–$10 XRP over the cycle, based on measured move and historical structure behavior,” he wrote.
A catapult from here is possible, as the charts would remain in the green, giving traders the confidence to take entry positions. The next market cycle could change the dynamics of Ripple’s XRP as it could mimic its 2018 run, said the analyst. The rally could exceed market expectations if XRP breaks out this year.
“From a purely structural perspective, a move toward $10–$20 cannot be ruled out in the next market cycle if the breakout holds and momentum confirms,” he wrote. If the forecast turns out to be accurate, an investment of $1,000 in Ripple’s XRP could turn into approximately $5,000. This makes it a must-watch token in 2026.
