YB is the native token powering the Yield Basis ecosystem. Its utility focuses on decentralized governance and protocol incentivization, ensuring community control and sustainable growth.
Furthermore, users can lock YB to receive vote-escrowed YB (veYB), which provides them with boosted rewards and a share of the protocol’s trading fees, typically denominated in Bitcoin (BTC) or other base assets. This staking mechanism aligns incentives for long-term holders by granting them a direct claim on the protocol’s performance-driven revenue. The YB token actively aligns incentives through a structured supply mechanism.
Regarding its supply, the total token supply is 700,000,000 YB, with a maximum supply of 1,000,000,000 YB. At the Binance listing, the circulating supply stands at 87,916,667 YB, which represents approximately 12.56% of the total supply.
