MegaETH L2 Network Explained
MegaETH is a highly anticipated Layer 2 blockchain network still under development, designed to enhance the scalability and performance of Ethereum by enabling real-time transaction processing. MegaETH Labs, a renowned digital assets incubation studio, is the MegaETH Layer Two network developer. Once launched, this blockchain network will process over 100,000 crypto transactions per second.
MegaETH Labs began developing its MegaETH Layer Two blockchain network in June 2024. At the time, the company raised $20 million in a seed funding round. The funding round, led by Dragonfly Capital, brings MegaETH’s fully diluted token valuation to at least $100 million. This blockchain project is backed by notable industry figures such as Ethereum’s Vitalik Buterin, Cobie, a prominent crypto investor, analyst, and commentator known for his deep market insights and outspoken opinions, and Joseph Lubin, the founder of ConsenSys.
The blockchain project aims to turn cutting-edge ideas into everyday reality with fully on-chain, interactive, and sophisticated applications. It aims to improve scalability, transaction speed, and reduce costs by leveraging Ethereum’s security and decentralization while offering higher throughput and faster block times. This highly anticipated blockchain network is currently in the public Testnet phase.
The Alien Rabbits NFT Collection
The MegaETH community has launched a non-fungible token series to celebrate the MegaETH testnet. The NFT collection dubbed Alien Rabbits features a limited edition of 3,333 PFP NFTs hosted on the MegaETH. Each rabbit is a high-quality, unique space explorer, a symbol of early community, cosmic vibes, and the journey ahead. At the time of writing, all the NFT collections have been minted on the Rarible NFT marketplace.
